Even those of us who like fried foods know that frying is not the healthiest way to cook foods. There's no doubt that it tastes wonderful, but if we could have fix without the fat, we all pretty know that we'd be better off.
I'm going to share a few recipe links with you for traditionally fried foods that can be done in the oven resulting in reasonable facsimiles of the original.
I've done oven fried chicken (which did not look as good as the ones here do) and I've done oven fried potato wedges (which turned out pretty good, I think). I'd like to hear what you've oven fried and how it turned out.

ReplyDeleteI can count the the number of times I've deep-fried something on one hand. I generally use the oven or a skillet with a little water or butter.
ReplyDeleteWe make oven-fried sweet potato fries and they are really good. I don't think I've actually deep-fried anything in decades.
