Happy (it's almost over) St. Patrick's Day!!

So, what did you all do to celebrate St. Patrick's Day? Or aren't you done yet? My kids are at the pub kicking it up with everyone else who's only Irish one day a year. Hopefully, they'll still be capable of kicking when they get home. We do have a wee bit of Irish in us, but many others' ancestors barely touched the United Kingdom, let alone the Emerald Isle. 


I didn't do anything to celebrate, although I did have things to do today. Tom showed up at about 7:20 this morning to pick me up to get coffee before heading on to his doctor's appointment followed by a trip to the bank, then breakfast at Perkins (pancakes, bacon, eggs, and scrapple for Tom; potato pancakes, eggs and bacon for me), a short trip to Macy's so he could keep his clothing repertoire up to par and then on to Wegman's for cat food. 


We then picked up a former co-worker and we all went to the Aldi Foods store to do some grocery shopping. After taking Karen back home, we went to ShopRite to pick up both of our prescriptions. He went into ShopRite while I went into Dollar Tree. He managed to forget my meds, but I got some more things I wanted, including containers grow veggies in plus potting soil, a couple of birthday cards (my son's birthday is Sunday; Tom's mother's is Wednesday), hot dogs to go with the beans and buns I already have, fabric softener sheets, singles juice mixes and some body powder. By the time I got home, it was after noon and I was beat! I'm just not used to being out that long any more. 


I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep, if the kids aren't too overcome by green beer to keep the volume down. Didn't sleep much last night. I wasn't sleepy and stayed up until just past 2 am. When neither kid came home, I finally went to sleep only to have to be up again this morning. I did catnap this afternoon a bit, but I'm looking forward to a full-fledged all-nighter, of the sleeping kind.
